Brandon Scott Lavergne Tried To Escape From Angola

The man who pled guilty in the murder of UL student Mickey Shunick reportedly tried to escape from prison.

KLFY-TV reports that Brandon Scott Lavergne attempted to escape from Angola, but did not get very far.

According to the report, Lavergne did try and escape from his prison camp but did not get past the fence that surrounds the prison.

You may recall that in 2012 Lavergne pled guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Mickey Shunick and Lisa Pate.
