The Acadiana Cane Cutters were hoping to finish off the Victoria Generals in the Texas Collegiate League Championship to win the title but the Generals avenged their game 1 loss to defeat the Cane Cutters 12-6 to force a winner-take-all game for the championship.

The Cane Cutters struggled early on in the game as they couldn't get any runs on the board. They finally got the offense going in the last 3 innings but it was too late to finish off the comeback. Third baseman Chandler Morris  from Texas A&M started the rally off with a solo home run.

The Cane Cutters scored two more in the eighth when Cole Taylor was walked to drive in Cole Secrest and Morris hit a sacrifice fly ball to bring in Connor Manola. Secrest drove in Louisiana Ragin' Cajun baseball's Alex Hannie with an RBI double off the center field wall in the ninth.Taylor followed with a two-run homer over the left field fence to cut the lead in half but that was all that they could muster.

The Cane Cutters will face off against the Generals tonight in Victoria, Texas to try and claim their first league title.
