This year, organizers have made strides to address past concerns and ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience for all participants. Last year’s parade faced some challenges, including issues surrounding music choices, profanity, and the use of open microphones by DJs. With updated guidelines and a proactive approach, the association is confident those problems are behind them.

In a Facebook post, the association emphasized inclusivity and excitement for the upcoming parade, inviting both new and seasoned participants to join the festivities. Registration costs $750 and requires proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license. Parade-goers are encouraged to review the updated rules to avoid any surprises.

Key Updates for the 2025 Parade

  • Music Guidelines: Riders can play any music as long as it’s clean and uses radio-friendly versions.
  • DJs on Floats: DJs are now allowed to use open microphones to engage with the crowd, adding an interactive element to the celebration.
  • Safety Rules: As in previous years, no open flames, BBQs, or glass containers are allowed on floats to ensure a safe parade experience.

The association has also clarified that parade fees cover essential expenses like security, permits, cleanup, and insurance. These fees are crucial to sustaining the event, which has become a staple of the Carencro community.
