Carol Ross To Run For Lafayette City Parish Council

Lafayette businesswoman Carol Ross tells KPEL that she will be running for the District 8 seat on the Lafayette City Parish Council. Current Councilman Keith Patin has not yet said whether or not he will run for re-election.

Carol Ross says,

"Having been active in numerous civic and charitable organizations and as a small business owner, I believe I offer a keen understanding of the needs of the district, which includes a mix of business and residential developments. I am committed to working with fellow council members and the new administration to move our community forward with strong, conservative leadership. When I came to Lafayette in 1966 it was love at first sight....and sound and taste. I fell in love with the people, the culture and the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit I found here, and I will do everything I can to nurture and promote them."

Carol Ross currently acts as the president of Edge Communications, Inc. Edge is a public relations firm that handles advertising and marketing. Before that, Ross started out her broadcasting career at KPEL moving from a copywriter to eventually becoming the vice-president.

Ross is a member of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association along with the Rotary Club of Lafayette.  She also serves on the boards of the Friends of the Humanities and the Acadian Home Builders Associaton.
