Tiffiany Decou, the "Lafayette Food Junkie," and Chef Zack Doise of Phares' Restaurant take you down memory lane in this edition of "The Lafayette Food Junkie Show."

“The Lafayette Food Junkie Show,” which has been airing from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday nights here on Newstalk 96.5 KPEL, has given Lafayette and the Acadiana area its own show dedicated to the food we all love to enjoy and talk about since November of 2013!

The crew discussed their culinary influences as they grew up and went back in time to reminisce about foods they grew up enjoying. A huge culinary influence for Tiffiany was her grandmother, "my personal Julia Childs."

"She was a great cook, and she had no problem telling you that," Tiffiany remembers about her grandmother. "She was very confident and strong and fearless."

Tiffiany shares her memories with her grandmother and how she learned how to bake at a young age. For her, the first thing she learned to cook was pancakes with her grandmother. For Zack, his first thing he learned to cook was ribs "because she was sick and tired of me constantly asking" her to make them for him.

They also talked with Destin Ortego, organizer of the "Clash of the Cocktails" event. The competition features mixologists from local restaurants who will compete against each other on March 27.
