Cross Drain Replacement Work Slated For Acadia Parish

Starting this Thursday, February 20, the Louisiana Highway 35 cross drain, between Louisiana Highway 1102 and Dr. Parrot Avenue (Parish Road 2-31), will be closed to traffic to allow crews to replace the cross drain structure and headwalls.

The detour routes for the duration of the closure include the following:

• Motorists traveling north on LA 82 from Rayne to Church Point: Turn east on LA 98 to LA 1101. At 1101, turn north to LA 1102. At 1102, turn west to LA 35.
• Motorists traveling south on LA 35 from Church Point to Rayne: Turn east on LA 1102 to LA 1101.  At LA 1101, turn south to LA 98. At LA 98, traffic can head west to go to Rayne or head east to I-49.

The closure will likely take place through mid-April.
