State Representative Dodie Horton talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the upcoming runoff in the gubernatorial race, and explains her endorsement of Republican Eddie Rispone, after supporting Congressman Ralph Abraham in the primary.

The Haughton rep tells KEEL listeners that incumbent John Bel Edwards should be voted out "if we want the state to prosper. We have to have someone who can help us create a new Louisiana. (Edwards) policies are failures."

And she explains he support for the baton Rouge businessman. "I did support Doc Abraham," she says, referring to the legislator and physician, "And now Abraham and his supporters are definitely behind Eddie Rispone and we're excited to be so.

Horton also comments on the recent primary "red wave," that gave Louisiana Republicans a commanding majority in both houses of the state legislature. "It history in the making," she says, "I am so excited. The last four years have been very difficult. I want to produce what we say we believe in and we have a real opportunity."
