State Police has identified the suspect accused in the shooting death of Sgt. Shawn Anderson with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s office. Trooper Bryan Lee says 30-year-old Brandon Wiley is still in critical condition as he was also injured in the incident. LSP says Wiley has not yet been officially charged in the death of Anderson.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a deputy was shot late Saturday night in Baton Rouge.

According to reports, the deputy was shot around 11pm on Hatters Avenue in Baton Rouge. The deputy was taken to a medical facility in critical condition.

The name of the deputy has not yet been released.

UPDATE: The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reports that deputy who was shot last night has died. The deputy was conducting an investigation at a barber shop when he was shot. The suspect was also shot and is being treated at a Baton Rouge medical facility.
