Eunice Man Booked For Beating, Slashing His Girlfriend
A Eunice man is behind bars today following a violent altercation with his girlfriend, who he beat and slashed her with a knife when she attempted to defend herself.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot told our news partner KATC, 32-year-old Cody White is being held without bail in the city jail on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery.
Police responded to an apartment complex on Crestview Loop a little after 11 p.m. Monday when the victim made the 911 call from the building manager's apartment. She told officers she grabbed a knife to defend herself when White began beating her. She then grabbed a second knife that White took from her before fleeing the scene.
Though the victim sustained multiple cuts to her hands and arms, she has been treated for her wounds and is expected to be in stable condition.
