Eunice Man Charged With 91 Counts of Child Molestation

EUNICE, La. (KPEL) -- A Eunice man is facing 91 counts of molestation of a juvenile following a months-long investigation by Acadia Parish authorities.

According to Sheriff Wayne Melancon, they originally received a complaint against Kevin Chatagnier, Jr. in June. He was arrested at the time and charged with a single count of child molestation.

As the investigation continued, and after conferring with the District Attorney's office, the additional 90 charges were filed.

Melancon says Chatagnier turned himself in on Thursday and was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. Bond has been set at $150,000.
