Lafayette Parish Man Indicted On Molestation Charges
A Lafayette Parish man is facing child molestation charges. Captain Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says Carl Coleman is accused of molesting a 13-year-old relative in 2006.
The case was initially reported to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office in September 2006 and after a short investigation Coleman was arrested. But the charges against him were refused by the Lafayette Parish District Attorney's Office in 2008 for a lack of evidence at the time.
Wednesday, deputies arrested him after Capt. Judice says a grand jury found sufficient evidence exists to bring Coleman to trial. He is now out of jail on a $40,000 bond.
