SOCHI, Russia (AP) — Sochi is about to welcome the Olympic Games with the opening ceremony in just a few hours.

It's a ceremony meant to showcase to the world the ultimate achievement of Vladimir Putin's Russia.

And in a provocative choice, the Russian pseudo-lesbian duo called Tatu (like tattoo) will perform before the 3,000 athletes march through the stadium on the shores of the Black Sea.

Russia has received world criticism for its law banning gay "propaganda" and today's performance is largely seen as an attention-grabbing gimmick.
