Fibrebond President and CEO Graham Walker talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about a possible solution - albeit temporary - to his company's trucking problems. Because of a deteriorating infrastructure, Fibrebond vehicles must detour almost 250 from the Minden area to find a suitable westbound route.

Walker tells KEEL listeners that the plan, which would move Fibrebond trucks across Camp Minden in Webster Parish to a connection with Interstate 20, is "a viable, temporary solution." The Fibrebond boss say, "There was a meeting yesterday at Camp Minden. In the short term, we have a route to, at least in the short term, cut some of the mileage off the longer route."

Walker stresses, however, that the Camp Minden plan is only a temporary solution, and that commitments to improving area bridges and roads are a necessity if his company is to remain in Minden and not make a move to east Texas.
