Five OWI Arrests Made In Lafayette Checkpoint Over The Weekend

This Friday, KPEL told you about a checkpoint that was going to occur during the evening in Lafayette. The Friday night checkpoint was on Congress Street.

727 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Of those vehicles, 11 drivers were given secondary testing and five were arrested for OWI.

They are:

1. 1.      Burl R. Cannon III (33) – OWI
2. 2.      Sanchez O. Dominguez (23) – OWI
3. 3.      Blye J. Barras (33) – OWI
4. 4.      Tyronne J. Bonnet (24) – OWI
5. 5.      Meagan Diamond (22) – OWI

Two other arrests were made on possession charges as well.

1. 1.      Trishema Girouard (22) Possession of Marijuana
2. 2.      Keelan R. Boudoin (22) Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
