Former LSU linebacker Kwon Alexander signed with the San Francisco 49ers last season, having spent his entire career with Tampa Bay prior to that.

The free-agent signing wasn't considered one of the best in the league when it happened, but halfway through the 2019 season, Alexander has made one of the biggest impacts among free agents who landed with new teams this year.

He's been a big piece for one of the best defenses in the league, as the 49ers have begun the year 8-0 for the first time since 1990.

San Francisco will be without Alexander the rest of the year, as he suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Thursday's win at Arizona late in the 4th quarter.

Alexander took to his Twitter account to share his feelings on the situation.
