LSU fans shock everyone in Louisiana by getting married at football tailgate - a unique and unconventional ceremony that wowed spectators.

When you decide to go to LSU to tailgate for football, you will likely expect to see plenty of beer, food, and rowdy people getting ready for a game. However, according to WBRZ, at the last football tailgating of 2024, two LSU fans married.

Who were the two lucky people? They were Allie Voiselle and Eric Goodrich. The two were married in front of their family and friends, along with hundreds of other people, at Touchdown Village, which is south of the stadium.

The two lovebirds met while working at Benny's Carwash, and that's when Goodrick finally asked Voiselle out on a date and love bloomed from that point forward.

What Was The Wedding Like?

For starters, there was no flower girl who walked down the aisle, throwing rose petals at the bride. Instead, one of their male friends proceeded in front of the bride while throwing cheese balls!

The bride was not wearing a long, flowing dress, and the groom was not decked out in a fancy tuxedo. These two lovers of LSU decided to dress up in LSU-themed overalls, and Allie had on bedazzled shoes for the occasion!

How Did They Come Up With This Idea?

The couple did not, in fact, come up with the idea to get married at an LSU tailgating event, one of their friends did. Cody Ghiggia was the person who came up with the idea, and the couple then decided to have him officiate at the wedding.

What Did The Parents Of The Bride Think Of The Idea?

Terri and Alan Voiselle thought it was a joke at first, but it wasn't and they said they were so happy at the wedding. Her dad, Alan, told the TV station,

We have four daughters between the two of us, and she's the caboose, but it did mean a lot to be able to walk her down (to where her groom was standing), but more importantly, she is with somebody that she loves.

And then Terrie, the bride's mom, summed it up this way, "She said we had a redneck wedding, but I think they topped our redneck wedding."
