Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun great Brandon Stokley is returning to where his long NFL career first began, after agreeing to a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night.

The 37-year old Stokley, who graduated from Comeaux high school, was selected by Baltimore in the fourth round of the 1999 NFL Draft, after a stellar collegiate career at UL, one in which he caught 241 passes, for 3,702 yards, and 25 touchdowns, even after having his junior season, in 1997, cut short by a knee injury.

Stokley played his first four seasons with the Ravens, compiling 60 receptions, for 913 yards, and seven touchdowns.

The Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV in 2001, defeating the New York Giants, 34-7, with Stokley scoring a touchdown on a 38-yard pass reception from Trent Dilfer.

After the 2002 season, Stokley left the Ravens to join the Indianapolis Colts, where he had the best stretch of his career.

In four seasons with the Colts, playing slot receiver for Peyton Manning, Stokley caught 139 passes, for 1,916 yards, and 15 touchdowns.

After that successful stretch in Indianapolis, Stokley went to Denver, for the first of his two stints with the Broncos, where he had 108 receptions, for 1,490 yards, and 12 scores.

Since his first stint with the Broncos ended following the 2009 season, Stokley has hopped around, spending the 2010 season with the Seattle Seahawks, and 2011 with the New York Giants, before returning to Denver, where he played last year, totaling 45 receptions, for 544 yards, and five touchdowns.

Over 146 games in his 14-year career, Stokley has 384 catches, for 5,224 yards, and 39 touchdowns.
