A former assistant coach for the New Orleans Saints has joined the staff of the LSU Tigers.

Carter Sheridan will serve as an offensive analyst for LSU in the 2020 season.

The 42-year old Sheridan spent 12 seasons with the New Orleans Saints (2003-2014), including his final six years as an offensive assistant for wide receivers.

Sheridan left the Saints to become receivers coach at Tulane, before serving most recently as a high school assistant coach at his alma mater, St. Augustine.

A native of New Orleans, Sheridan played defensive back for Florida A&M from 1996-98.
