
Gov. Bobby Jindal Declares State Of Emergency
BATON ROUGE, La. (KPEL) -- Gov. Bobby Jindal has declared a state of emergency following Thursday morning's severe weather and flooding.
The emergency declaration authorizes the state's Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to take any appropriate measures.
Several parishes have already declared individual states of emergency, including Acadia, Evangeline, and St. Landry parishes.
