Dr. Martha Whyte, Regional Director for the Louisiana Office of Public Health, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the status of "flattening the curve" and have we reached the point where the Governor's "stay-at-home" regulations can be loosened.

Whyte tells KEEL listeners that one of the purposes of "flattening the curve' was to avoid an overload of the state's healthcare system, specifically the ICU units and ventilators, a goal she says has been reached.

The doctor also gives details - and concerns - about how the relaxation of the Governor's "stay-at-home" could lead to a "second wave" of Coronavirus patients and how serious those numbers could be.
