The latest LHSAA high school football rankings are out.

Many Acadiana area schools look to be in good shape, following the completion of week 6 of their respective schedules, with 4 weeks remaining in the regular season.

Keep in mind, 32 teams qualify for the playoffs in each of the Non-Select divisions, while the Select divisions will feature a different numbers of teams in their respective brackets.

We'll begin with the Non-Select Division.

In Class 5A, Acadiana sits atop this week's power ratings.

Comeaux is currently the only other local school in the top 32, at #19, and looks to be in good shape for a potential playoff spot.

Outside of the top 32, with ground to make up, are New Iberia (#39) and Lafayette High (#48).

In Class 4A, Westgate is the highest rated local team this week, at #9, with Rayne (#16), Carencro (#19), Breaux Bridge (#24), and Cecilia (#26), also in the top 32.

Just outside of the top 32 are St. Martinville (#33) and Opelousas (#34), with Northside (#45) needing to make up precious ground.

In Class 3A, Northwest is the highest rated local team this week, at #8, but a number of other Acadiana area schools are in the top 32, including Kaplan (#9), Iota (#11), Church Point (#14), North Vermilion (#19), Crowley (#22), Pine Prairie (#24), and Eunice (#30).

Currently outside of the top 32 are Erath (#36), Abbeville (#38), Mamou (#42), and Port Barre (#46).

In Class 2A, Loreauville is the highest rated local team this week, at #23, with Jeanerette right behind, at #24.

Outside of the top 32 this week are Ville Platte (#36), Franklin (#38), and Delcambre (#42).

Wrapping up the Non-Select divisions, we go to Class 1A, where North Central (#25) and Gueydan (#26) are fighting for seeding in the state playoffs.

Now, we move we move on to the Select divisions.

In Division I, there are no local teams, but view this week's ratings, here.

In Division II, St. Thomas More, at #4, is the highest rated local team this week, while Teurlings checks in at #7.

In Division III, Notre Dame tops the ratings this week, with Ascension Episcopal at #4.

Finally, in Division IV, where 16 teams make the playoffs, Lafayette Christian is #3 this week, with Vermilion Catholic one step behind, at #4.

St. Edmund (#9) and Sacred Heart of Ville Platte (#11) are also in the top 16.

Outside of the top 16 are Hanson Memorial (#17), Highland Baptist (#19), and Westminster Christian (#22).
