Holiday Service Schedule For City Of New Iberia

Below is the holiday service schedule for trash collection for the city of New Iberia.

Basically, trash collectors will not pick up garbage on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. But, residents usually scheduled for trash pick up on those days will get their trash picked up the next day.

Also, excess (bagged) trash resulting from holiday celebrations will be picked up for five consecutive route days beginning on the day following each holiday, if the trash is bagged and placed outside the cart.

Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 26th

• Thursday routes will be serviced on Friday and Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday.
  (Excess holiday trash will be collected on Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday following Thanksgiving Day)

Christmas Day – Friday, December 25th

• Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday.
  (Excess holiday trash will be collected on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday following Christmas Day)

New Year’s Day – Friday, January 1st

• Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday.
  (Excess holiday trash will be collected on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday following New Year’s Day)
