Huge 3-Footed Alligator Casually Crosses Busy Street in Florida [VIDEO]
We assume that the video was originally taken near Venice, Florida, as that is where the Facebook user lists his hometown.
The alligator is a big' un: the man taking the video estimates the length of the gator at 10 feet (that would make LOTS of sauce piquant!).
Check out the beast of a gator crossing the street in the video below.
Now, did you notice the gator's left front foot or, more specifically, the lack thereof? What you are looking at is a 10-foot 3-footed gator!
What could have happened to that foot? Could it have gotten caught in a trap? Bitten off by a shark? Bitten off by another alligator? Could the gator have been born that way?
I know that crazy stuff happens in nature, but I will now lose sleep until I am satisfied with a reasonable scenario as to how that alligator lost its foot!
We've got alligators that big in Louisiana and, coincidentally, I saw one that big this weekend.
Out at the game warden's camp at Marsh Island, I snapped a pic of this beast over the weekend:
Of course, I didn't get close enough to see if this gator was fully footed, but I will just assume it was. Why didn't I get close enough to check for feet? 2 reasons: 1) who could imagine that an alligator wouldn't have all its feet?, and 2) it's illegal to harass alligators in Louisiana.
