Ian Montz Commits To UL Baseball

A local prep baseball standout has decided to stay close to home and play his college baseball for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

Ian Montz, who attends Acadiana High School, issued a verbal commitment to Louisiana earlier this week.

A left-handed hitter who also throws from the left side, Montz is an outfielder, who also is used as a pitcher at the prep level.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Montz is a junior and is scheduled to graduate from Acadiana in the spring of 2021.
