By now I'm sure most of the country has heard about the 'Ice Bucket Challenge' to benefit the ALS Foundation. One person accepts the challenge to be bathed in ice water and challenges three other people to do the same or to donate to the ALS Foundation.

Each person getting doused is asked to video the event and post it to a social media site. Pete Frates started the viral sensation that has raised over $15.6 million to date.

Barbara Newhouse, President and CEO of The ALS Association said,

This is a creative way to spread ALS awareness via social media and in communities nationwide. We thank Pete Frates and his family for getting so many people involved in spreading the word about ALS.

This Wednesday morning after 'Winging It Wednesday' with Carol Ross, Mike Stagg and Warren Caudle, Mike Stagg will take the challenge and be doused in water as cold as we can get it. We'll post the video here on the KPEL website and the KPEL Facebook page and we hope you will share with friends.

Carol Ross has donated to the ALS Foundation to opt out of the ice bath and has asked for KPEL NewsJunkies to donate to ALS.
