Texas is a wonderful state and an even better place to live. With so much beauty within her borders from mountains, prairies, canyons, desert, marshland, hills, forests, and coastline no wonder why so many people want to call Texas home.

With a wide variety of terrain, residents can experience all the seasons and do just about anything throughout the year as long as they accept the fact that it is going to be hot across the entire state in the summer and hot and humid along the Gulf Coast and throughout central, north and east Texas!

Look around East Texas and you will see signs of growth and expansion everywhere, especially in northern Longview and southern Tyler with new neighborhoods and new retail centers being built to accommodate the population expansion.

The U.S. Census Bureau recently released the latest population estimates for metros and counties across Texas and the Dallas-Ft. Worth area saw the largest raw increase in the entire nation. Dallas Business Journal's Plamedie Ifasso reports the D/FW metro added more than 150,000 people from 2022 - 2023. The population of the metro now exceeds 8 million people.

Homebuilders, urban planners, retail developers, city leaders, school districts, and more are having to plan for this population explosion.

When looking at Texas, population growth is not showing any signs of slowing down. Let's take a look at the top ten fastest-growing counties in Texas.
