Loranger, Louisiana Mom Callie Brunett Cause of Death Announced

We continue to learn more about the murder of a mom and daughter from Tangipahoa Parish.

The Tangipahoa Parish has now announced the cause of death for Callie Brunett, who was allegedly murdered last week by Daniel Callihan.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued last week after authorities discovered the body of Callie Brunett. While her body remained at the crime scene in Louisiana, her two children were missing.

Sadly, the body of 3-year-old Erin Brunett was later discovered in Jackson, Mississippi, and shortly after Daniel Callihan was taken into custody.

Now the coroner's office in Tangipahoa Parish. says that Callie Brunett died as a result of several multiple sharp-force injuries.

While the official cause of death of 3-year-old Erin Brunett has not been announced, police on the scene in Mississippi referred to the setting as very disturbing.

In a shocking video, Callihan admitted to killing the child after being taken into custody, and he requested the death penalty upon himself.
