Louisiana Residents Can Help Lafayette Win ‘Favorite Culinary Town’

After voting concluded on Sunday, June 16, three towns made it into the finals for consideration for The Palate's "Best Culinary Town in the South".

The top three contestants are the following:

• Alpharetta, Georgia
• Charlottesville, Virginia
• Lafayette, Louisiana

All of your voting paid off, and Lafayette made it into the top 3! Now we have to keep on voting. The deadline for voting for Lafayette is Friday, June 21, 2024.

Lafayette is one of the most dynamic, courteous, and invigorating places on the planet, and our food is incredible. We have endless options for every kind of food that a foodie can imagine. Even though we know this, it's time, once again, to inform the rest of the country.

The Local Palate publication has narrowed down its list of "Favorite Culinary Towns" to ten towns including Lafayette.

As they were researching a variety of towns, the following are the criteria they were checking out in the south,

looking at everything from the restaurant, bar, and café scene to the towns’ farmers markets, educational classes, coffee shops, kitchen and home goods retailers, wine shops, and more to determine which towns would make the Top Ten.

They are currently working to whittle down their list from 10 to 3. They are doing that by having people vote for which town offers not only outstanding food but also a terrific food scene and community. That's Lafayette.
