The woods in Louisiana can be very scary and a group of teens recently found out that strange sounds and sightings can leave the bravest seeking shelter.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office's post on social media, they were recently called out to the Kisatchie National Forest after a group of Houma teens called for their assistance.

In the social media post the Sheriff's Dept. says the south Louisiana teens were approximately 1 1/2 miles down off of Back Bone Trail in southern Natchitoches Parish when the call came in for help.

After the teens set up camp one called in for help, "They reportedly heard a growl and saw what appeared to be an animal that had glowing eyes and stood about 5-feet tall."

Not knowing what may have been lurking or stalking them, the young men decided to call 911 and that's when deputies responded. The teens thought that it could have been a "Bigfoot" or a bear in their vicinity.

Responding deputies found the campsite, but could not locate what scared the campers.

Deputies successfully escort the young campers out of the woods and to safety. There's no word if the teens plan to return to Natchitoches Parish for camp out, but the Sheriff's Dept there does congratulate the recent graduates in their viral social media post.

If you recall, this isn't the first story from Louisiana where someone was allegedly spooked by Bigfoot. So, is the world's most elusive creature right here in the swamps and is it getting braver?
