LSU Men’s Basketball Defeats Kentucky With Last Second Shot
What a night it was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as the LSU Tigers stunned the Kentucky Wildcats in the PMAC.
Kentucky rolled into LSU as the 17th-ranked team in the country, but that did not phase a young LSU team as they shocked the basketball world with a major upset.
In typical LSU fashion, the Tigers defeated the Wildcats 75 - 74 with a last-second shot by Tyrell Ward after his teammate, Jordan Wright, had a shot blocked.
Ward, who put the ball into the basket in the final second, finished the game with 17 points for the LSU Tigers.
As you'll see here, as soon as the buzzer sounded in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, students rushed to the court to celebrate with the Tigers. This is LSU's second consecutive win over a nationally-ranked team.
What a night in Baton Rouge, and what a night for the LSU faithful.
Earlier in the day LSU coaches hit the grounds of the campus at LSU inviting students to the game and they most certainly showed up to support the Tigers.
