1.Comite River - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Not only can you take a dip and swim, but the Comite River is part of a 100 acre conservation area that also offers bike and hiking trails, fishing, and pavilions.

2. Lake Claiborne State Park - Homer, Louisiana

A surprisingly clear lake with a sandy beach, great for family swimming.

Lake Claiborne State Park also offers camping, hiking, water-skiing, cabins, and more.

3. Kisatchie Bayou - Near Natchitoches, Louisiana

Great for wading, swimming, and hammocking.

4. Indian Creek Recreation Area - Woodworth, Louisiana

Large lake with a sandy beach and less traffic than most state parks.

5. White Sands Lake Day Beach
- Franklinton, Louisiana

6. Lake D’Arbonne - Farmerville, Louisiana

Fishing piers and boat docks,  designated swim areas, biking trails, and even lighted tennis courts.

7. Toledo Bend Spillway Park - Anacoco, Louisiana

Secluded swimming near the dam, and great for picnicking and camping. The fishing here is great for catching largemouth bass, catfish, bream and white perch.
