(KMDL-FM) If you have been prescribed medication for the treatment of diabetes, cancer, ADHD, and various other topical conditions, and have purchased and used generic drugs to treat your symptoms, you may have money coming back to you.
If You Bought and Used Generic Prescription Drugs in Louisiana, You're Eligible
Some 48 Attorneys General across the United States have banded together to create a composite website where individuals who might have a claim in a medical class action lawsuit can verify their information and report that claim.
Multiple pharmaceutical companies are included in this, or we should say these legal actions. Among the companies that have been included are Sandoz and Glenmark; those companies, along with many others, have agreed to a massive payout in response to allegations that they conspired to fix prices for consumers and reduce competition.
If you purchased applicable generic medication between May 1, 2009, and December 31, 2019, and reside in the United States and did not buy the drugs for resale or directly from a defendant, then you could be eligible for settlement money.

There are other specific details that you will need to include in filing a claim. Perhaps the best way to see if your medication is included in the myriad of settlements would be to visit the AGGeneric Drugs website.
Which Generic Medications Qualify for Generic Drug Settlement Money? Here's the List
On this website, you will see the name of the medication listed and the manufacturer. If you take or took more than one generic medication during the settlement time frame, you might be required to submit a separate claim for each medication.
There is a FAQ area on the website as well as phone numbers that should connect you to an agent who can help clarify your questions and concerns. We should note that Louisiana residents do have some restrictions in regard to settlement payments.
Louisiana residents are restricted to sharing only in specific settlement funds, and because Louisiana residents were not directly represented by our state's AG, certain parts of the litigation and compensation might be adjusted proportionally for residents of Louisiana.
And while we are far from being anywhere close to a legal scholar, our advice would be to file all claims you believe apply to your situation. This way you can be sure that you have left no stone unturned. And before you make any changes to your actual medicines, please consult your doctor.
