
Celebrate The Fourth With Fireworks And Family Fun In Lafayette and Across Acadiana
LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - It's nearly Independence Day 2025, and if you and the family will be in town, there's a good chance you'll want to get out and celebrate the holiday.
And if you're in that number, you may want to catch one of the great fireworks displays around Acadiana.
Below is a list of events in the area culminating in a great big ole fireworks display.

Thursday, July 3
Youngsville Independence Day Celebration (Youngsville Sports Complex) 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm -- Kids zone, face painting, bubble bus, photo booth, food trucks, live music by Clay Cormier, Colby Latiolais, & Charley Rivers.
Jennings Stars & Stripes 4th of July Celebration (Oil & Gas Park) 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm -- Free activities for the kids, bring your lawn chairs and coolers. Live music by First Street Hooligans from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by Colby Latiolais from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Fireworks show at 9:00 pm

Friday, July 4
Broussard Independence Day Festival (St. Julien Park) 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm -- 20th Annual Fireworks Show along with activities for the kids, food vendors, and live music from Side Show. The fireworks begin at 9:00 pm. Free to attend.
Erath 4th of July Celebration (Downtown Erath) The entire celebration runs through July 4 with carnival rides, live music, water fights, and culmination with the giant fireworks display over the Erath skies at 9:00 pm on Independence Day.
Fireworks on the River (Nall Park, Krotz Springs) 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm -- Enjoy hot dogs, watermelons, and live music. Guests are welcome to bring ice chests, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets. Free to attend.
Red, Rice & Blue (Acadia Rice Arena, Crowley) Free event hosted by the City of Crowley. A fun-filled day of music, fun jumps, food, cook-off, and dancing. Music by Adam Leger (4:00 pm), Jarvis Jacob (6:00 pm), and The Chee-Weez (8:00 pm). Fireworks at 10:00 pm.
Red, White & Boom! 4th of July Celebration (Yambilee Building, Opelousas) Food, games, and drinks. Gates open at 6:00 pm. Parking is $5. Fireworks show at 9:00 pm.
Town of Leonville July 4th Celebration and Fireworks Show (Leonville Boat Launch) Music, food, flag raising ceremony, and 50/50 raffle. The event begins at 6:00 pm with fireworks at 9:00 pm. Free to attend.
Lafayette Fourth of July Celebration (Parc International, Downtown Lafayette) Kids' activities, local pop-up shops, food trucks, and live music from The Good Dudes, Lost Bayou Ramblers, and more. Gates open at 5:00 pm and fireworks at 9:00 pm. Free and open to the public.
