Slidell, LA - A teacher at Slidell High School, Alexa Wingerter, 35, faces charges related to alleged inappropriate relationships with male students.
According to WDSU, She was arrested Tuesday morning following a month-long investigation initiated by Slidell police in early March. The investigation was prompted by complaints alleging that Wingerter had engaged in inappropriate conduct with male students.

According to law enforcement officials, Wingerter is accused of sending inappropriate photographs and messages via text messages and various social media platforms. Investigators spent the past month conducting interviews and executing search warrants to gather evidence.
Police claim that Wingerter engaged in an inappropriate and sexual relationship with at least one 18-year-old male student while acting in her capacity as an educator. Not only that, she allegedly purchased alcohol for some of her students who were underage at local bars in Slidell.
The arrest has sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns about the safety and well-being of students within the school. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information regarding this case to come forward.
