BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal is scheduled to attend a fundraising event in Manhattan next week where attendees are being asked to pay up to $25,000 to mingle with Louisiana's governor.

According to an invitation to the Dec. 10 event provided to The Times-Picayune, attendance at the cocktail reception costs $1,000, while membership in "Bobby's Club" is $5,000 and entitles members to participate in a 45-minute round-table discussion.

The price goes up from there: Being a "host member" is $10,000, and for $25,000 a person can be listed as a "general chair."

The event, being held at the historic Union League Club, is the latest in a string of out-of-state fundraisers for Jindal as he gears up for re-election in 2011 with no challengers in sight.
