Keith Patin Won’t Seek Third Term On Lafayette Council

District 8 Lafayette City Parish Councilman Keith Patin has decided he will not seek re-election this fall.

The Independent is reporting today that Patin sent them a press release late Wednesday evening stating that he is "not prepared mentally" for another four year term, and that he is "really tired".

Patin says the last two years were tough for him, and he will focus on continuing to move forward with life.

He says other have expressed interest in serving at the District 8 council person, and he says it's the right time for a change.
