Lafayette Chamber Hosting Multiple Events
Jason El Koubi, President and CEO of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today to announce upcoming events.
Natural gas fuel for vehicles seems to be making inroads and El Koubi says the Chamber is ready for it.
We have an NGV (natural gas vehicle) workshop coming up. This is for folks all across South Louisiana. This is something that will be at the LITE Center on November 8th, from 9am until 1pm. Basically it will feature presentations on the economic impact of fleet conversions, federal and state incentives for this and other resources that are available for businesses.
Social media continues to grow in importance for businesses and The Lafayette Chamber is ready to help members utilize it. According to El Koubi,
A lot of people tell us they want to learn more about using social media to promote their businesses, so we're holding our Business Boost series. We're going to start off with Facebook. This is for members only. It's going to be October 29, 30, 31 at the Chamber Office from 8:30am to 10:00am.
Ongoing events at the Chamber include 'Business After Hours' and El Koubi said,
The October 'Business After Hours' is coming up Wednesday, October 16th at the Uni-Globe Travel facility from 5:00-7:00pm. It's a monthly event for members at a discount. It's basically a casual networking event hosted by a member business...It gives the host facility an opportunity to showcase their facility and new products. It gives members a way to interact.
