Lafayette Company Doubling in Size, Creating 85 New Jobs
A Lafayette-based company has announced that it will be doubling its manufacturing facility.
According to the Acadiana Advocate, the company is planning a $5 million expansion.
Along with that expansion, new job openings will be available.

ASH Industries, located on West Willow in Lafayette, an injection molding company, plans to invest that $5 million into its manufacturing facility, doubling its size, and making room for over 80 new jobs.
The Advocate is reporting that the expansion of the company will create room for 85 new jobs at ASH Industries' facility, and an additional 120 "indirect jobs" as a result of the expansion.
ASH Industries, according to its website, got its start in 1991, and a large part of its business is plastic injection molding.
ASH Industries does Injection Molding, Silicone Molding, MIM (Metal Injection Molding), and Rotation Molding, and operates a 7-Axis Swiss Lathe.
It boasts that its projects range from "medical and surgical devices to structural components for laser light shows" and that its facility can handle a wider range of jobs than others in the region.

With such a wide range of customers, ASH Industries only stands to gain from expanding its manufacturing facility.
This expansion is just another step in ASH Industries' track record of constantly striving to improve the company's performance and capabilities:
For over 30 years ASH Industries™ has worked tirelessly to push our manufacturing capabilities to the next level. Over that span of time we've invested heavily in new materials, new production equipment, new facilities, new manufacturing capabilities - and most importantly, the right people. - ASH Industries
The Advocate is reporting that the average salary that comes with the soon-to-be new jobs created by the enlargement is over $40,000.
The story goes on to say that ASH Industries currently has 67 employees and that the expansion will add 20,000 square feet to its manufacturing floor.
No word on when the new jobs will be available, but if you are looking for a job now, they are hiring.
