Chief Communications Officer Jamie Angelle conducted Tuesday's daily presser. Here are some of the highlights released by Lafayette Consolidated Government:

  • Today, 90 tests were completed and 43 individuals were screened out. That totals 133 at the Cajundome screening/testing site.
  • You will not be able to get screened without an ID. It is needed so the results can be reported as mandated by the federal government.
  • Please leave your pets at home.
  • Bishop Douglas Deshotel visited the Cajundome screening site Tuesday morning and blessed the volunteers, medical staff, and National Guard.

The Cajundome COVID-19 screening/testing site will be open tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

At this time, there is no option for emergency/disaster SNAP benefits; however, if you are not already a SNAP recipient and have a food need, you are encouraged to apply for benefits online.
