Lafayette Government Addresses Cyclist Accidents
A recent string of bicycle accidents is causing Lafayette Consolidated Governement to address the issue of cyclist safety. Tony Tramel, Director of Traffic and Transportation, says each of the three cyclists involved died in those accidents. Tramel says all bikes are required to have a white headlamp and flashing red tail lamps that can be seen from 500 feet away. He also says cyclists are required by law to ride with traffic, not against it.
