Garbage pickup and recycling collection will run as normal in Lafayette Parish for Good Friday. Allied Waste, as well as the Recycling Foundation, will run their regularly-scheduled garbage or recycling collection on Good Friday.

The entire week following Easter, residents in the cities of Lafayette and Carencro, and in unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish, will have excess garbage collected from holiday celebrations if it's bagged and outside of the automated garbage cart. The weight limit on each bag of garbage is 35 pounds.  Residents are asked to place bags of garbage three feet away from the automated garbage cart.

Meanwhile, the Lafayette Consolidated Government Compost Facility will be closed on Good Friday, but will be open from 7 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
