The director of Lafayette's City Parish Public Works Department says there will be a road closure starting today on Kaliste Saloom Road that will last at least one month while the contractor completes concrete maintenance work.

Tom Carroll says the southwest travel lanes of the 1300 and 2400 blocks of Kaliste Saloom will be closed today through approximately the next month.

The 1300 block of Kaliste Saloom Road will have the closures near its intersection with Rue Louis XIV.

The 2400 block of Kaliste Saloom Road will have the closures near Target.

Carroll's office says there will also be closures on Settlers Trace Boulevard which will start today and last approximately two weeks.

One direction of travel on Settlers Trace between Ambassador Caffery and West Farrel Road will be closed.

One direction of travel on Settlers Trace between Steiner Road to Camellia Boulevard will also be closed during the same period.

This work will consist of concrete maintenance work as well.
