Lafayette, L.A. January 25, 2011- Courtesy Automotive Group is preparing for the 1st Annual “Shoot For The Future” at Wilderness Gun Club in Lafayette, La. The Shoot For The Future in conjunction with The March of Dimes will raise money to help mothers have a full-term pregnancy and research problems that have threatened the health of babies. Both March of Dimes and Courtesy Automotive actively help fund education, community services, advocacy, and research. Recently, Courtesy teamed up with the Social Networking Site Facebook to utilize Facebook’s “Check-In” Feature to allow users to automatically donate $1 to the March of Dimes when they “Check--In” at any of Courtesy’s dealerships. “We are offering a different approach to raise money for the March of Dimes,” says Michelle Hargroder-Simon, General Manager of Courtesy Vermilion and 2011 Chair for the March of Dimes. “Instead of focusing on traditional sources to bring in money, we feel that Facebook is a great tool to encourage customer participation. Whether you come to look for a car, get your vehicle serviced or take the time out of your day just to stop by and “Check-In”, it is all going to a better cause.” The Grand Prize will be a VIP Duck and Goose hunt for four at Doug’s Hunting Lodge in Gueydan, LA, which includes food, lodging, and great hunting. The second prize will be VIP fishing trip for two to Toledo Bend, food and lodging included. The third prize will be a VIP alligator hunt for two at Sagrera Farms in Abbeville, La. which includes two alligators; plus hunters may keep both meat and hide. Sponsorships are welcome.
