March 30 Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, March 30th.
There are now 4,025 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. 3,180 tests have been completed by state labs and 30,853 tests have been reported by commercial labs. Numbers show that there are 1,158 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized with 385 of them on ventilators. John Hopkins has reported 4,865 recovered cases across the U.S. but none in the Acadiana area at the time of this post.
The total amount of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 164 with 6 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 82 (1 death)
St. Landry Parish: 15 (1 death)
St. Mary Parish: 10
Iberia Parish: 18
Evangeline Parish: 8
Acadia Parish: 11 (1 death)
St. Martin Parish: 20 (3 deaths)
There is more widespread representation throughout the state as 59 of the 64 parishes now have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 185. New Orleans continues to be the hardest-hit area of the state. The next update is due out tomorrow at noon.
