Heading into every school year, anxious parents look for answers about their children's transportation to and from school. The opening of the Lafayette Parish school system's help center has been delayed this year because systems were taken offline to combat cyber attacks. KATC reports, the center is scheduled to open at 7:30 am on Friday, August 2nd. Parents can call 521-RIDE (7433) for information. The center will be open 'til 5:30pm, through Friday, August 23rd. Personnel will be onsite at Acadiana, Northside, and Carencro high on Monday, August 5th, from 7:30-6:30. They'll be at Lafayette high, Southside, and Comeaux high Tuesday, August 6th, from 7:30-6:30. Parents can also go online to https://www.lpssonline.com/site384.php .
