A man accused of robbing his mother at gunpoint and burglarizing his brother has been arrested by East Baton Rouge parish sheriff's deputies following a high-speed chase. Deputies say 41-year-old William Travis Hoover was booked Thursday with a variety of counts including armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated flight, aggravated obstruction of a highway and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Hoover allegedly broke into his brother's home and stole numerous items and attempted to steal a vehicle. After that, deputies say, Hoover allegedly robbed his mother at gunpoint and stole her vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene as Hoover was pulling out. He fled from deputies and flipped the vehicle.
