An Arnaudville teen is behind bars after leading St. Martin Parish sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase Wednesday morning.

Sheriff's spokesperson Major Ginny Higgins said 17-year-old Dartamian Landry was booked in the st. Martin Parish Jail following the lengthy chase through the parish's Highway 31 corridor.

Patrol deputies attempted to stop Landry on True Friend Road in Parks around 2 a.m. Landry led deputies on a chase from Parks to Cecilia. The chase ended when Landry deliberately crashed his car into two sheriff's vehicles an the Bayou Teche bridge in Cecilia.

Landry was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a peace officer and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Landry's bond was set at $550,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
