Holy guacamole that's a lot of food!

The big game is on Sunday, February 3. While there are some people who will be heavily invested in the game (a.k.a. Rams and Patriots fans), the rest of us will be elbow-deep in guacamole, queso and chicken wings. And boy will there be a lot of food consumed this year.

In fact, on average 2,400 calories will be eaten between the opening ceremony and the trophy presentation.

WalletHub crunched these numbers recently and was able to determine how many pounds of food will be dedicated to Sunday's activities. These numbers are staggering, but then again, we like to do things over-the-top in America. Not to mention, any excuse to stuff my face is an excuse I readily welcome.

Apologies to my summer bod.

Here's what they found will be consumed at this year's Super Bowl parties:

1.38 billion chicken wings
10 million pounds of ribs
8 million pounds of guacamole
14,500 tons of chips (and those guys are light to begin with)
51.7 million cases of beer

And yet, I'm surprisingly hungry after reading those numbers...
