Milton Man Pleads Guilty To Defrauding Social Security
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- A Milton man has pleaded guilty to defrauding Social Security of more than $320,000 over a 17-year span.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley says 53-year-old Randy Courville collected $324,818 in Social Security disability benefits from early 1995 to March 2012, even though he was self-employed as a painter.
Finley says Courville owned a business called R.T.'s Painting, which he later renamed Affordable Painting.
Courville faces a $250,00 fine and up to ten years in prison. He will also be required to make full restitution.
