Money Missing From Opelousas City Hall

The latest report from the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office shows that $1500 is missing from the funds at Opelousas City Hall.

The report indicates that the employees responsible for the daily cash collections in the utility department noticed that $1,500 was missing in September of last year, and they called police.

The Opelousas Police Department's investigation continues as no one yet has been determined to have stolen the funds.

The person responsible for collecting the money has been cleared and increased security measures have been put in place when dealing with cash.
